Performance of Hybrid Castellated Beams

چکیده

In the current study, up to failure behavior of Hybrid Castellated Beams (HCBs) is predicted with use a developed Finite Element (FE) model. Both material and geometric nonlinearities are considered in numerical simulations. The accuracy FE model was validated using experimental test results presented literature. analysis had close agreement work predicting load mode pattern. A parametric study conducted investigate influence some parameters on HCBs’ ultimate strength. These included slenderness compression flange, beam span-to-depth ratio, laterally unbraced length flange. design formula proposed estimate inelastic lateral-distortional strength both homogeneous hybrid castellated beams.
